Last week I wrote about my "guess the weight" frozen yogurt vis-a-vis psychic prediction experience. Those who want a recap can read this entry on my blog: Frozen yogurt and psychic prediction
Thanks to all who responded. This reader's response summed it up very well so I am posting it here:
"My thought on this is that it was easier to predict the weight at the yogurt store than at the races because although you did not see the weight of the yogurt, it was already made manifest in your environment before he asked you to guess. Had someone asked you to guess who won the horse race right after it happened (vs. before) you probably would have got it spot on since it had already manifested and that energy is easier to read."
Yes! The result of the yogurt weight had become known. Made manifest. Furthermore I think that the customer service fellow saw the weight from his side of the counter and was holding it in his mind. I am not saying that I am a mind reader (goodness gracious no!), however, I will say that my focus was so strongly placed on predicting the weight of that tub of yogurt that I was very highly attuned and ready to receive the, what I will call "outcome energy" that he was holding. And I did! This is my sense about the experience, anyway.
She goes on to say:
"I am still trying to figure out prediction from scratch as I believe that takes a really refined sense of intuition to get it right more often than not (at least in my case)."
I agree, here, too. Perhaps it takes a much more refined sense of intuition than most of us here on earth possess. Except for, say.... Nostradamus...!
My husband has been interested in predicting the outcome of horse races for many years. He uses astrology and has researched other techniques as well. Purportedly, one of the most accurate of these techniques is the use of a a now defunct pocket computer known as the Psion XP in combination with astrology and handicapping to get winning results. Makes my head spin...
Back to hubby... He has had some wonderful success with astrology and predicting the winners, to be sure. One race day he brought home enough money that we could pay cash for a new car. Not bad! But he still has many misses, too, and is always trying to figure out what common thread connects the hits.
What I have noticed during my trips to the track is that there are many factors that come into play leading up to a horse race. The program changes as horses are scratched, the weather shifts changing the track conditions, the regular jockey gets injured and a sub is put in, and more. It is my sense that a winner isn't set in stone until he or she crosses the finish line. Until then the whole thing is fraught with potential - both that of winning and of losing. Anything can happen.
Potentials abound. Potential can shift and change. It is mutable. As the saying goes: anything is possible. It must be, otherwise there would certainly be a few folks in the world who would have figured it all out by now and would be selling that knowledge in huge volumes. Then we'd all be winners all the time...!
As if the universe would let that happen. ;)
We even dragged our young son along with us to the track on several occasions. He was always totally bored and focused on something else. I would hand him the program and say "pick the winner". Looking stultified and not taking it at all seriously, he would make a huge dramatic gesture with his hand and put his finger down on the name of a horse. And you know what? He won. Every time. I kid you not. Go figure. Drove me crazy...
When I reflect back on my horse racing experiences I realize that I have predicted the most wins at the track when I've gone just to have fun and have held no expectation whatsoever regarding the outcome. So really, I guess I had actually won twice. :)
Food for thought...
