How was your week?
My week had its difficult moments. Last Tuesday a friend of mine passed away following a four year battle (don't like using that word but it did seem so like a battle at times...) with breast cancer. She was only 49. It was tough.
I met Cat two years ago. She came to one of my spirit circles in which I bring through messages from the spirits for those gathered. She had piercing brown eyes. And a lovely smile. Her deceased grandmother was a very pushy spirit making darn sure that she would not go unnoticed or be missed in the fray of all the spirits that had shown up to speak to those in living who were there that night. Cat's grandma was so persistent that I even broke one of my own etiquette "rules" which is that I bring the spirits who want to speak through in the order in which they have shown themselves to me. She was 6th to show up with 4 spirits lined up ahead of her and I ended up rushing her to the front because she would not leave me alone! It was very funny. Apparently she has no regard for etiquette. But she did bring Cat and I together.
Spirit brings a lot of people, whose paths are meant to cross, together. They are always looking out for us and doing their darn-dest to help us along our path. Really, when it gets down to it isn't it wonderful to have such love and support from the unseen realms? Whether it be from our guides or the spirits deceased loved ones, it sure is awesome. (at least I think so anyway!)
So to start this week off, try to think back to a time when you just knew you were receiving support or being pointed in the right direction by spirit. Enjoy that memory. Smile. Say thank you. :)
Back to Cat...
Things got pretty difficult for her towards the end and she fell into a coma. The spirits of folks in comas leave their bodies quite frequently, skipping around the astral plane and even visiting those they love. The night before she passed Cat's spirit visited me twice. She was healthy and whole and looking like she did when she was not so sick. She was deciding when she would fully transition into spirit and was bouncing ideas off of me. It was clear to me that she just wanted an ear and that she was working things through on her own. When she was done spending time with me she said "see you later!". And then she was gone.
She passed into spirit the next evening while her husband held her hand and the two of them were alone in silence and love together.
And I know that I will see her later...
