It's that time of year. Time to reflect on the past year and take note of what we've accomplished or perhaps even pushed to the side and a time to look forward to what we want to accomplish in the coming year.
I'm not real good at doing this. So I'm going to push myself to do it in this blog post. In front of everyone. ;)
For starters I had a wonderful 2017. I met many but not all of my goals for my business. The goals I acheived were:
The goal I did not achieve was bringing forward to my readers and website visitors more of the resources that I have been busy creating. I had hoped to be farther along with this by this time. C'est la vie. I will be targeting March for the completion of phase one of my product / resource offerings.
The thing that I liked doing the best professionally this year was 1:1 mentoring. Thoroughly enjoyable. I look forward to meeting new students in 2017.
Personally I have had a great year. My biggest achievement was learning how to nourish my body instead of just feed it. In early September my husband and I engaged in a 6 day juice cleanse which, quite frankly changed my life. I felt so good when it was over that I didn't want to stop. This cleanse set the stage for some big changes in the way that I eat and view what I put into my body. I now make myself a very healthy and delicious green juice every day (even Christmas day!), eat a healthy snack then prepare a delicious meal for dinner. I cook all meals from scratch, using no processed foods whatsoever. Yes, if I want it I would even make my own ketchup (I'm not a ketchup eater but you get the picture). I have taken care to stock my pantry with beautiful, fragrant spices, grains, dried legumes and pulses, which means I can prepare a beautiful meal on the spur of the moment. I am even making my own bread, which I was afraid to tackle for the longest time, but, by Jove I think I've got it!
We do the majority of our food shopping at our local farmer's market. Going to the grocery store has been quite different, if and when we go. We don't step foot into any of the middle aisles anymore and pretty much hang out in the produce aisle exclusively. You meet the most interesting people in the produce aisle!
A big inspiration for this dietary shift was my dear friend Angela and the movie "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead". If you really want to know what the typical North American diet does to your body watch this movie. Warning... you can't "un-see".
Looking ahead to 2017, in addition to getting those resources I talked about above off to y'all, I would also like to complete a couple of books on mediumship that I have been working on for about three years (oh boy!), and continue to develop and offer resources for new and developing psychics and mediums, so that you can do your learning in your jammies! I do a lot of my work in MY jammies! ;)
In my personal journey I am stepping towards even more simplicity in my life. My husband and I live a very simple life now, buying mostly second hand, eating simply, doing "lowsumerism", etc., however, we have been talking with each other about taking that up a notch. We are planning a "no spend" month for January or February, so I will keep you posted and perhaps even do a blog or two on how that goes for us.
What does 2017 hold for you?
Are there any changes you would like to see happen in your life next year?
If you could make one change with regards to your psychic or mediumship development what would it be?
Is there anything that you need to add or takeaway from your life in the coming year?
Where do you see yourself at this time next year?
I wish you joyful and fruitful reflecting upon this year and next and a healthy, happy, growth and spirit filled 2017.
PS - the picture above was taken at the end of one of my very favourite events this year, a winter Solstice ceremony held last Wednesday. I wanted to post a more recent photo of myself - here with my husband - and that was the only one I could find, because I am always behind the camera and hardly ever in front of it. Forgive my dreary eyed look. It was 1:00 am... pretty late for a girl who usually turns in before 9:30! ;)
