Building Focus for Clairvoyance The gift of Psychic Seeing
Mediumship requires a highly developed ability to concentrate and focus.
Therefore one of the most important aspects in the development of spirit communication or mediumship is to cultivate of your power of concentration and your ability to focus.
There are a number of ways that you can practice improving your concentration, the simplest of which is to create a mental point of focus, in your mind’s eye (clairvoyance) (or ear (clairaudience), feeling (clairsentinence) or thought (claircognizance) ) upon which you fix all of your attention. Then place all your focus on that point. If you find yourself drifting away from your focal point, bring it back to the image, sound, feeling or thought you have chosen. Keep doing this for 90 seconds to a couple of minutes.
Here is an exercise to help you develop your clairvoyance (psychic seeing) focus. It is very easy to do and can be practiced in the quiet of your spirit / meditation space.
And… you don’t need to meditate prior to doing this particular practice exercises. It is actually preferable that you don’t.
This is because this exercise is meant only to help you increase your ability to focus on one thing very quickly, rather than raise your vibration, which is what meditation does. The more you do this focus exercise the easier it will get.
Focus Exercises: Building Focus for Clairvoyance:
Place a lighted candle on a table in front of you.
Look directly at the candle. Bring all of your visual awareness to the candle.
Watch the candle as it burns. Look at every detail about the candle. The flicker of the flame, the height, the wax melting down the sides as it burns.
Take in everything that you can about how the candle appears as you watch it.
Do this for about three minutes.
Now, shift your gaze away from the candle.
Keeping your eyes open, blur your vision by softening your focus so that you are not looking at or holding a visual fix on anything in particular.
This is not to put you into an altered state, but rather to concentrate your focus on the purpose ahead.
Now, with your eyes open, re-create the visual experience of the candle.
With increasing clarity focus on the candle as it was when you were watching it burning.
Focus on how it was, in great detail, with nothing else going on in your mind, just the re-creation of the visual experience of the candle burning.
Do this for about three minutes. This is all that is needed for this exercise as anything longer than this actually impedes your ability to focus.
Do this exercise two to three times a week when you are beginning your mediumship development.
