So you are all excited about your new direction. You are stepping up, claiming your intuitive gift and on the course to developing your psychic abilities. Now you have to change your diet too?
Well... it depends. On what and how you eat now. And it depends on you.
If you are currently consuming a diet that is heavy on meat and empty carbohydrates - you know, 'fill-you-up' foods then, ahem... you might want to consider cleaning that up. Meat is a heavy food that has a tendency to lower your vibration. And because meat is the product of a once sentient being who occupied the body that you are now consuming there will be residual energies taken into your body from that meat. It also tends to pull you down into your lower chakras and dull your higher chakras thus altering your ability to receive and perceive subtle vibrations. Carbohydrates within reason are OK, but in greater quantities they tend to fill you with empty calories that are lacking in the nutrients that you need to keep you, your energy field and your intuitive capacity at its healthiest and happiest. If this is the way that you eat I'll bet dollars to donuts (not recommended in your diet, mind you!) that you will naturally be called to alter this kind of diet as you continue to grow and develop your psychic gifts.
Processed foods are another thing to avoid taking into you body during this time, because they desensitize you in numerous ways making it more difficult to connect with spirit. You will be able to connect, but you will absolutely connect better if you eliminate process foods from your diet.
Simply put, the cleaner your diet the easier it is for spirit to reach you. A clean diet includes lots of fresh organic vegetable and fruits, fresh water - and lots of it - wholesome grains, such as quinoa and legumes. Some people are not ready to give up meat all at once and that is OK. As long as you take an honest look at your consumption and adjust it so that you are reducing your meat intake appropriately, you should notice a difference in your psychic experience. Though not always easy to find, I highly recommend that if you are going to continue to eat meat try to locate a place in your community that guarantees free range, ethical, kind and considerate practices with regards to their animals. When animals are handled with this kind of respect and consideration their residual energy is significantly different. Some people actually need meat protein in their diet, especially those who are particularly highly sensitive and those who tend to have a flighty, spacey energy or have a hard time staying grounded. In this sort of situation meat will actually help. This is where honest assessment comes into play when deciding why and how your diet may need to be changed to facilitate your psychic development.
A vegetarian diet is also a fine choice, as long as the intake of protein is adequate. Vegan (which incorporates plant based food and leaves out the dairy products and eggs) and a raw vegan (the same as vegan but with no cooking - everything is fresh and raw and never heated above 110 degrees F) can both contribute to incredible psychic openings and connections with spirit - sometimes too much so. Again sound assessment is needed with regards to where you are in your development, what your nutritional needs are, etc. If either of these diets appeals to you then give it a try and see how you do with it. Be prepared to make changes if it is not working for you.
So, Clare... what do YOU eat? (how do I know you're asking that... yes I'm psychic ;)...
I eat a largely plant based diet at this point in both my life and my psychic development. I, however, find that I need to augment my diet with some animal protein. My choice is fresh fish when I can get it. I find that the fish protein helps with my cognitive function and gives me the energy necessary to do this work. I don't eat meat protein everyday, but rather I eat it sparingly and when I am feeling that I need to do so because of how I am feeling or if I need extra grounding. I also drink a ton of water (well... close to a ton!) and lots of barley tea. I like coffee so I have one cup in the morning. I stay away from milk and processed dairy products, but I do eat cultured dairy items such as plain yogurt. I find that this is the diet that works best for me.
Having said all of the above I do feel the need to give a nod to one of the most amazing psychics I have ever come across in my whole life. I went to see her a number of times in the late 1980's. She smoked like a chimney, 'chain' drank diet Coke by the 24 can case and ate donuts, cookies and other carby, not-great-for-you stuff. She was one amazingly accurate psychic!
So.... go figure!
